We are currently actively recruiting for a Calibrations Technician. This position is an 11 month, fixed term contract and reports directly to the Maintenance Engineer- Calibrations. Main responsibilities include:

·         Actively support the Site’s calibration programme and procedures. Operate and maintain the Site’s calibration software and records, and ensure the accuracy of these records.  

·         Take responsibility for the management and condition of the Site’s calibration equipment.  

·         Undertake training programs for Calibration as required. Provide support to training programmes as required.

·         Support the Technology Transfer initiatives for incoming new products. This requires very good communication and very close cooperation with key Technology Transfer personnel from the parent Company.

·         Provide support to factory acceptance testing, commissioning and validation of new equipment and processes.

·         Instigate and support process improvement projects to improve availability and plant efficiency.

·         Maintain effective document control systems for the department.

·         Participate in Safety and Environmental programmes. Adhere to safe working practices as set out in the Safety Statement and other company safety rules.

·         Encourage actively the culture of teamwork and integration within the Engineering Department, and most importantly with both Production and QA Departments.

·         Participate fully in any cross-functional training initiatives.

·         Available to respond to ‘call out’ as required.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience gained within the Pharma/Food or Electronics sectors.
